What’s on tonight? 30 For 30

Okay, so there is a full slate of Boston sports on tonight with the Celtics heading to Philadelphia and the Bruins playing in Detroit. However, if you have the time at 8:00 to check out ESPN’s newest 30 For 30 documentary, I suggest you do so.

Tonight’s doc is titled “Without Bias,” and chronicles the life and times of late Maryland basketball great and Celtic Len Bias, specifically the days and weeks leading up to his death at 22. Bias was drafted second overall by Boston in 1986 and was supposed to carry the Celtics into the 90′s as the next big thing, but died less than 48-hours after being drafted due to a cocaine overdose.

In Boston everybody’s got their own take on how good Bias would have been as a Celtic. In truth we’ll never know, but there’s no doubting the skills he had on the basketball court and the talent that was wasted that June night in ’86.
