I hate to say this, but Burnett outpitched Pedro tonight in the Bronx. The World Series is tied up 1-1 with the two teams heading to Philadelphia. Pedro was good, allowing three earned runs on six hits in six innings plus, but Burnett was better. He kept the Phillies’ lineup off balance all night, and three runs was more than enough run support tonight.
I’m still optimistic with the Phils splitting the first two games in New York, but the Yankees are going to have more confidence heading into Game 3. We shall see.
