I’ll give the Angels credit. They kept me interested for about six innings of the entire series. Yankees are too good this year. Good luck to the Phillies, specifically Pedro for obvious reasons and Matt Stairs just because he comes from a long line of lumberjacks and Norse Viking warriors. Could care less for the rest of them, although Charlie Manuel reminds me of that drunken relative that everyone has in their family who comes to family parties demanding to play wiffleball with the kids and eventually breaks down in tears while talking about his playing days in short season A-ball in the 1960′s.
Can we also agree that the initial Yankees’ celebration was the most uninspired clinching celebration in the history of celebrations? Is Mariano Rivera pumped up with painkillers or something? He just sorta stood there.
