Despite the United States’ Fellowship of the Ring (Barack/Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, The Blues Brothers) failing to bring the Olympic Games back to the United States in 2016, this great nation did get some good Olympic news this week as it was announced that golf and rugby would return as part of the Olympic slate in both the 2016 and 2020 games.
Now, I’m not going to pretend to know a damn thing about rugby, but I’m willing to guess the U.S. team probably doesn’t have a fart’s chance in the wind to win the gold. However there’s nothing I love more than seeing the United States win in golf tournaments.
For example: Boy, do I loves me some Ryder Cup. Especially when we stomp on the hopes and dreams of the European team and break all sorts of rules of decency and golf etiquette:
